Hiring REMOTE Tax Preparers – Multiple positions immediately available.
Compensation: USD $1,400 – $2,500 per month
Remote Leverage is helping multiple companies hire Tax Preparers. In this role, you would be working directly with one of Remote Leverage’s partner companies.
Responsibilities:
• Collect and organize client financial documents such as W-2s, 1099s, and deductions
• Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses
• Review returns for accuracy, compliance, and maximum eligible deductions/credits
• Calculate estimated tax payments and provide advice on withholdings and quarterlies
• Communicate with clients to clarify missing items and explain results, refunds, or balances due
• Maintain secure records and documentation for audit readiness
• Assist with notices, amendments, and basic IRS/state correspondence when necessary
Qualifications:
• & Tools:
• Strong knowledge of individual and small-business tax rules (deductions, credits, filings)
• Strong bookkeeping/financial statement understanding
• Hands on experience with Accounting and Tax software (Quickbooks, Xero, TaxAct, Drake)
• Advanced proficiency with spreadsheet management (Excel, Google Sheets)
• 1+ Years as a Tax Preparer, Bookkeeper or similar position
• Fluent English, both verbal and written
